TITLE: The Biography of a Silver-Fox or The Deterioration of a Bulging Spine
MEDIUM: book, rubber cement, tea, polymer vertebrae, nylon cord, methylprednisolone container, canvas, cyanotype
DIMENSIONS/RUN TIME: 12″ x 16″ x 3 1/4″
DESCRIPTION/STATEMENT: This work is autobiographical and comes from my thoughts on aging brought on by a spinal injury. Book spines share many of the same characteristics as human spines. For one, they deteriorate with use and can eventually become brittle enough that they need to be repaired. Libraries are similarly like ossuaries. I think I would rather have my remains in a library than a cemetery.
