DESCRIPTION/STATEMENT: Sur sits on his studio floor alongside a family of embelished skeletons created by David Wojnarowiz. The skeletons were part of Wojnaorowz’s installation for a Creative Time project at the Brooklyn Ancorage and later for the installation “You Killed Me First” at Ground Zero in the East Village. In between installations, SUr stored the skeleton’s in his studio. They are in actual fact human skeletons that were shipped in the ribcage of a baby elephant skeleton that Wojnaowicz had shipped from Paris. Also pictured: Adolfo and Oliver Sanchez standing sculpture; Jimmy DeSana silver print; Howard Taikeff head sculpture; and a Paul Smith cone silver print.
