TITLE: Sticks and Stones
DIMENSIONS/RUN TIME: 20″ x 22 1/4″
DESCRIPTION/STATEMENT: My work explores social paradoxes in the form of cycles and habits; and the cause and effect from changing patterns, chance, and regeneration.
This drawing builds on layers of mark making to reveal a landscape marked by history. The character in the doughboy hat carrying a divining rod, is an archetype for the connection between landscape and industrial expansion.
